This is classified as a Class II Skeletal relationship and can lead to potential problems such as maloclussion, mouth breathing, snoring and sleep apnea.
Fig 2: This cephlometric image was taken upon completion of Twin Block therapy. Notice the overjet (yellow line) is reduced. The lower molar (blue line) is now in front of the upper molar (red line). The airway (green line) has also improved. The jaws are now in an ideal Skeletal Class I relationship. Also, notice how the soft tissue, or facial profile has improved.
